Mercedes Hernandez, Ph.D., LCSW was a Postdoctoral Scholar with the La CLAve project. She received her doctoral degree from the School of Social Work at USC. Her interests are in mental health services research among racial and ethnic minorities with a particular emphasis on Latinos with serious mental illness and their families.
Mercedes was the first author of two project publications, one published in the Journal of Immigrant and Minority Health and the other in Early Intervention in Psychiatry. She is now an Assistant Professor of Social Work at the University of Texas at Austin.
